In this talk, author Myra Zepf will explore the rich tradition of Irish mythology and its ever-changing narratives and forms, charting how they evolve and renew with each new era. She will share her recent experiences and the challenges faced as she worked on a new rewriting of the story of ‘Midhir and Etaoin’ for her latest book, balancing the preservation of inherited tradition with the pressing need to re-stitch the ancient tale for contemporary gender-balance.
